This Global Product Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Creating global business plans, product line strategies and roadmaps for our security solutions for all global channels, B2C, D2C, B2B, and OEM.
  • Developing the go-to-market strategies and objectives to deliver and maintain annual global gross trade sales and gross margin contribution for these solutions. 
  • Define new product direction and identify new business opportunities, using in-depth knowledge of the global customer/end-user needs, global marketplace and global competition to define the Total Available Market (TAM)
  • Define and prioritize concrete product marketing requirements (sales, end-user, reseller, and customer info), including a well-articulated product portfolio that considers the knowledge and understanding of the external competition and is supported by tangible market data trends.
  • Be a visionary and innovator.  Bring new ideas to the table and be collaborative in shaping them to the core competency of the team and organization. 
  • Develop methodologies for decision making based on quantitative data research/analysis approaches. Manage post-mortem analysis and ROI of past NPI's.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Regional PM, Operations, Sales, Marketing, manufacturer, & external technology partners, etc.) to deliver financial and strategic results.
  • Be the champion and owner of the products to the Regional Sales organizations with and facilitate support in all aspects around the products.
  • Deliver key customer and end user insights back to the organization and use the information to drive product and development priorities.
  • Manage category portfolio's strategic planning cycle.

Position Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree required.  MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in product management in the technology industry (computer products accessories preferred).
  • Experience working in the B2C, B2B, E-tail, or PC OEM markets on a global basis.
  • Demonstrated, successful track record in Mechanical Engineering and/or Product Management disciplines (Marketing, segmentation, positioning, portfolio management, channel management, product development, product conception, product life-cycle models).
  • Knowledge and passion for technology and products.
  • Customer-focused with a strong external market orientation.
  • Solid planning and organizational skills; proven ability to establish business, product and market plans with quantitative methods.
  • Strong decision-making skills; proven ability to influence for results.
  • Ability to lead in a team environment with R&D, project management, regional sales and marketing, and senior leadership.
  • Results-oriented; can multi-task and drive both daily results while establishing long term plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to travel to worldwide Kensington locations, customers, channel partners and vendors: 10-20%.
