ACCO Brands is seeking a Licensing Account Manager

 

The Licensing Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing long-term relationships with licensors identified by the company.  This person is also responsible for having an understanding of sales & marketing strategies so he/she can identify trending licenses that support these strategies in addition to securing the new license property. 

 

Accountabilities:

  • Identify emerging trend licenses and initiate all aspects required to secure new licenses for specific business lines/product formats.
  • Establishes new and manages on-going relationships with licensors including negotiating initial licensing terms and day-to-day account relationships.
  • Research new opportunities via industry relationships, trade/consumer publications and trade shows and partner with Licensing Manager to deliver a comprehensive recommendation to sales and marketing.
  • Work with the Licensing Manager to complete and present business reviews with key partners; including sales analysis and interpretation.
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative for business activities as well as personal development.
  • Act as a liaison to communicate corporate as well as licensor expectations.
  • Work with the Contract Manager to manage and communicate contract licensing requirements between licensor and Marketing/Design departments.
  • Works with Licensing Director and Contracts and Royalty teams to ensure compliance with licensor contracts.
  • Works closely with the Licensing Account Coordinator on assigned accounts to secure and interpret licensor-approved artwork.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years related business experience is required and 1-3 years of licensing industry experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, confidence, and business professional skills are required, as are interpersonal effectiveness in creating and supporting teams, negotiating, selling ideas to others, resolving conflicts, and managing change effectively.  Outstanding skills in both oral and written communications are mandatory.
  • Experience in consumer products industry and full understanding of marketing principles is preferred.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational and planning skills are needed to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Knowledge of art and print production ideal.
  • Travel:  25-35%
