Position Summary

ACCO Brands Asia is a $50 million company headquartered in Singapore with operations in Japan, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Taiwan.  The business consists of Asia sales & operations and Global teams responsible for Sourcing, Supply Chain, Compliance and R&D.


The Director Commercial Finance, Asia-Pacific will be located in Singapore and is a prominent leadership role within the APAC region. The role reports to the Director Decision Support, International in the US and supports the Vice President and General Manager, APAC.  The Director Commercial Finance, Asia-Pacific will have responsibility for the overall strategic and commercial financial support of the APAC business unit, a key growth region for ACCO Brands.  This role will play a critical and highly involved role as a member of the APAC senior leadership team.  A key aspect of this role will be to transform data into meaningful, actionable business strategies.  Other specific responsibilities and challenges include:

  • Provide strategic and tactical thinking as well as broad business insight
  • Partner with regional leaders to develop a long term strategy with clear strategic initiatives to achieve desired growth in the region
  • Present a clear, concise analysis and accurate summarization of results
  • Develop accurate, consistent reporting to enable management decisions
  • Analyze business risks and opportunities and make recommendations as they affect the financial results of the company
  • Lead the annual plan, quarterly forecast and quarterly business review process for the APAC business
  • Establish strong working relationships with the regional business leaders and Corporate finance teams
  • Work with the business unit VP on special projects, many involving mergers & acquisitions
  • Leverage the shared services finance resources across the region

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 15+ years of financial accounting & decision support experience, with time spent in a leadership capacity
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Travel: approximately 20%
  • Consumer Products Industry experience a plus
