ACCO Brands is one of the world's largest suppliers of school supplies and office products - companies, students, teachers, parents and business professionals alike in more than 100 countries use our products each day.  We look forward to continuing our tradition by hiring motivated individuals as Large Sheet Collator crew members.  This position is responsible for assisting with set up and operation of the Collator.  Crew members assist the Operator as needed in all areas of machine set up or breakdown, helping to insure smooth flow, efficient set-ups and to minimize downtime.  

 

There is currently two openings on Third shift but interested applicants must be available to cover any shift.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Responsible to meet and maintain all established production, quality and safety standards.
  2. Support and maintain lean process changes as they occur to ensure sustainability of these initiatives.
  3. Assist crews and other operators to insure high productivity and quality.
  4. Completes all paperwork associated with the position.
  5. Responsible for housekeeping/recycling in his/her work area.
  6. Assist in set up and operation of Collator.
  7. Ability to lift signatures and load pockets at a continual and rapid rate.
  8. Performs minor machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
  9. Must be able to read and understand manufacturing orders and routings.
  10. Possess the ability to operate various equipment within the department, including the taping machine.
  11. Work with the operator as needed in all areas of machine during set up or breakdown, helping to insure smooth flow, efficient set ups and to minimize downtime.
  12. Ability to understand and perform quality process checks, including in process audits and process qualifications. 
  13. Other duties as assigned.

 

Position Qualifications

  1. Must be 18 years old or older.
  2. High School diploma or GED required.
  3. Six (6) months of continuous employment with the same employer is required.
  4. Previous manufacturing and/or distribution experience in a paper converting manufacturing facility is preferred.
  5. Previous experience with paper converting equipment including pocket loader/adjuster, automatic box machine, and taping machine as part of a collator crew.
  6. Must be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  7. Evidence of excellent attendance.
  8. Evidence of good working relationship with other employees.
  9. Must be team oriented, quality and safety conscious.
  10. Required to work with minimal supervision.
  11. Evidence of mechanical ability is desired.
  12. Required to lift large sheets of paper.
