ACCO Brands is one of the world's largest suppliers of school supplies and office products - companies, students, teachers, parents and business professionals alike in more than 100 countries use our products each day.  We look forward to continuing our tradition by hiring motivated individuals as Bindery Operators.  This position is responsible for set up, changeover, minor maintenance and running all machines in the work cell to manufacture a quality product.  In addition, training other individuals within the work cell and working harmoniously as a team is required.  As individuals become proficient on numerous pieces of equipment, they will be required to train others within the work cell.   Current openings are on 2nd and 3rd shift, but interested applicants must be available to cover other shifts as well.



  1. Responsible to meet and maintain all established production, quality and safety standards.
  2. Support and maintain lean process changes as they occur to ensure sustainability of these initiatives.
  3. Must frequently be able to run and change over machines within the work cell without assistance.  These machines include but are not limited to: Drills, Padder, Kugler 3-knife (knife change optional), Pocket Loader/Adjuster         
  4. Responsible for maintaining machines in production condition and for maintaining consistently high quality and productivity.
  5. Perform minor machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
  6. Assist crews and other operators to insure high productivity and quality.
  7. Completes all paperwork associated with the position.
  8. Responsible for housekeeping/recycling in his/her work area.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

  1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. High School diploma or GED is required
  3. Six (6) months of continuous employment with the same employer is required. 
  4. Previous manufacturing and/or distribution experience in a paper converting manufacturing facility is preferred.
  5. Previous experience operating paper converting equipment including Drills, Padder, Kugler 3-knife, and pocket loader/adjuster is preferred.
  6. Machine set-up experience and evidence of excellent mechanical skills desirable.
  7. Must be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions
  8. Evidence of excellent attendance.
  9. Evidence of good working relationship with other employees.
  10. Must be team oriented, quality and safety conscious.
  11. Required to work with minimal supervision.
  12. Required to read, write, calculate and measure accurately (basic skills test required).
  13. Must be able to identify machine problems or errors, generate solutions and improve efficiency of an operation.
  14. Must meet the requirements of a physical capabilities evaluation.
