This position is responsible for set up, changeover, minor machine repairs, preventive maintenance and running of the Laminator and Tinner.  The current opening is on 2nd shift, but applicants must be available to flex to cover all shifts.   


Duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Responsible to meet and maintain all established production, quality and safety standards.
  2. Support and maintain lean process changes as they occur to ensure sustainability of these initiatives.
  3. Assist crews and other operators to insure high productivity and quality.
  4. Completes all paperwork associated with the position.
  5. Responsible for housekeeping/recycling in his/her work area.
  6. Must frequently be able to run and change over machines within the work cell without assistance, such as the Laminator and Tinner
  7. Perform minor machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
  8. Performs knife changes.
  9. Performs inspection of product per process qualification guidelines.
  10. Upkeep of machines required.
  11. Must demonstrate safe work habits while performing job functions.
  12. Ability to perform process qualifications and in-process audits as necessary.
  13. Ability to provide manufacturing data as required.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

 Potential employees need to be able to flex to cover any shift.

Position Qualifications

  1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. High school diploma or GED is required.
  3. Six (6) months of continuous employment with the same employer is required.
  4. Must be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions
  5. Evidence of excellent attendance.
  6. Evidence of good working relationship with other employees.
  7. Must be team oriented, quality and safety conscious.
  8. Ability to work with minimal supervision
  9. Previous machine set-up experience and evidence of excellent mechanical skills with demonstrated high quality and productivity is desired.
  10. Must be able to identify machine problems or errors, generate solutions and improve efficiency of an operation.
  11. Ability to read, write, calculate and measure accurately (reads meters, dials and calibrated scales, refers to technical manual)
  12. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
  13. Must be able to work overtime.
  14. Must have excellent vision
  15. Basic math and documentation skills required.
  16. Ability to interpret production orders and follow set up instructions.
  17. Basic computer skills
