    ACCO Brands is seeking a Marketing Analyst to join the Business Intelligence and Analytics Team.  This role will help uncover key customer preferences and develop data-driven marketing strategies with respect to ACCO’s growing Amazon business. This Marketing Analyst needs to have a background in analytics and a proven history of generating insights that translate into improved business results.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Strategic Thinking: Able to influence the strategic direction by identifying opportunities in large, rich data sets; creating and implementing data driven strategies that fuel customer growth
    • Data Gathering: Experience in sourcing and aggregating data from various internal and external touchpoints
    • Analytics: Identify trends and relationships between different pieces of data, draw appropriate conclusions and translate analytical findings into business strategies and recommendations. Specifically:
      • Quantify effectiveness of marketing campaigns
      • Identify opportunities to optimize product mix
      • Create and execute A/B testing plans to optimize promotions
      • Track key customer performance indicators and analyze trends
    • Visualization: Create visualizations to connect disparate data, find patterns and tell engaging stories.
    • Communications and Project Management: Capable of turning dry analysis into an exciting story that influences the direction of the business and communicating with diverse teams to take a project from start to finish.

    Position Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in an analytics role
    • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred (such as mathematics, science, economics, finance, business, or marketing)
    • Tools: SQL, Alteryx, Tableau
    • Data blending, cleansing and management
    • Ability to understand, translate, and map business questions into analysis projects
    • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change
    • Effective communicator capable of understanding both internal and external customer needs, independently driving issues to resolution, and communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Intellectually curious, analytical, impact driven, persistent, and not shy about sharing their opinions and recommendations
    • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint

     

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • M.S. in a science-based program with an emphasis on data analysis
    • Statistical modeling
    • Python, R
    • Web, digital marketing and social analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Facebook insights, etc.)
