ACCO Brands is seeking a Team Lead to drive top line budgeted customer sales and profitability ensuring that customer has clear understanding of ACCO Brands goals and objectives. This position will translate customer requirements ensuring that ACCO Brands has a clear understanding of customer goals and objectives. The Team Lead will provide leadership, strategy and vision to customer team to include account manager, customer supply chain manager, field manager and business development manager. This role will develop opportunities for ACCO Brands to participate in all customer business building events or opportunities and provide customer with one primary point of management contact for all ACCO Brands activities. This position is located in Lake Zurich, IL. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver top line budgeted customer sales and profitability
    • Provide gap analysis and opportunities
    • Provide direction/counsels on approaches and strategies to pursue
    • Collaborate with Channel Marketing and NAM on the final sales budget/project lifecycle
    • Track and forecast account sales and profitability
  • Lead strategies and economics/budgets for annual account planning
    • Lead development of annual customer business plan
    • Manage P&L and other budgets for account
  • Lead and execute negotiations with customer on ACCO Brands program contracts
    • Negotiate terms and conditions
  • Act as liaison between Customer and ACCO Brands
    • Develop relationships externally at senior management team at account and internally within ACCO Brands
    • Achieve collaboration on and support of mutual objectives
    • Translate the customer strategies into a ACCO Brands strategy/opportunities
    • Provide input and direction on forecast profitability by account
    • Provide quarterly customer review to senior ACCO Brands management
    • Conduct account quarterly business reviews incorporating account performance with account senior management in attendance
  • Drive development and negotiation of ACCO Brands promotions
  • Develop account team and competencies

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree  in Business Management or Marketing required; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in sales/general management with retail/wholesale or commercial customer experience, preferably in the consumer products industry
  • 3+ years of experience in managing multiple direct reports
  • 2+ years of experience in a management/leadership position remote from corporate office
  • Up to 30% travel required
