    We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in San Mateo, CA to work with the Kensington Brand. The Supply Chain Specialist performs the production planning, re-buying and logistics activities required to support the companies finished goods inventory requirements.  This position will assist with sales and operations planning (S&OP) meetings to generate the production plan and supplier purchase forecast for assigned product lines.

     

    Subsequently, they will execute purchasing needs, expedite, de-expedite and re-balance inventory among our US and Global Distribution Centers, with a goal of maximizing customer fill rate and optimizing inventory investment.  This position will prepare and distribute service reports, and will be the primary contact with US product teams, outsourced suppliers, logistics providers, and distribution centers regarding inventory, operational forecasts, and logistical issues.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze and execute replenishment plans according to defined policies to maintain inventory to support service and inventory goals while minimizing Supply Chain costs.
    • Coordinate PO placement, expediting, de-expediting, with suppliers, logistics providers and DC’s.
    • Support NPD launch and product life cycle management activities.
    • Ensure data integrity within our planning systems (Oracle, Manugistics/JD Edwards/Reportnet) per policies for all Kensington items.
    • Conduct business analysis and recommend changes to reports and processes as necessary to streamline supply chain processes and activity in support of continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate with Kensington’s third-party logistics providers and DCs to minimize costs and maximize data integrity within the facilities and our systems within prescribed business processes.
    • Global inventory balancing support across ACCO’s regional locations.
    • Support an atmosphere of continuous improvement and use of best practices.
    • Assist with systems transition and reporting training for Supply Chain staff in Asia.

    Position Qualifications

    • B.S. degree in operations or supply chain management, technology management or equivalent, Master’s degree preferred
    • Minimum 4 years of experience involving Far-East outsourced manufacturing supplying multiple regional DC’s (i.e. European, US, and Asia), ideally in a Fortune 500 company involved in computer accessory or technology related products
    • Broad knowledge of Supply Chain practices and procedures is required including Sales and Operations Planning, Postponement, VMI, Consignment Inventory Management (Customer and Supplier), Purchasing management, Logistics management and Expediting
    • Working knowledge of demand planning and forecasting is highly desirable, preferably in the retail space, and supporting multiple sales organizations (i.e. Retail, Mass, VAR/DMR, e-tail)
    • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing, materials management (Push and Pull systems), forecasting and inventory planning systems, business process management and personnel management experience is required
    • Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office Suite required
    • Advanced experience with Excel & PowerPoint required
    • Proven ability to work effectively within a “team of team’s” / matrix business structure
    • Detail oriented, self-starter, with excellent time management skills
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel both within and outside the company
    • Oracle/Manugistics/SAP experience is a plus
    • Bilingual in Mandarin and English is not required, but a plus
    • Must be able to travel 5% domestically and internationally
