Position Summary

ACCO Brands, one of the world’s largest suppliers of branded office products, with annual revenues of over $1.8 billion, is seeking an electrically and mechanically inclined individual for our 2nd Shift Maintenance team.  This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities maintenance by performing the following duties.

  • Takes a proactive role in team safety.
  • Maintains a safe, clean and orderly work area.
  • Troubleshoot and perform machine repair duties.
  • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as, conveyors, and programmable controllers. 
  • Connects power to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and maintains records. 
  • Source replacement parts as needed.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.


This position requires formal trade school training or journeyman level work experience. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical knowledge as well as strong troubleshooting skills.

Candidates must read and understand all related drawings, prints, and schematics for electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.  Knowledge of PLC ladder diagrams, AC/DC drives and production equipment controls preferred.

Position Qualifications

A working knowledge of the NEC as it pertains to installing and maintaining industrial equipment and plant electrical distribution and lighting is required. This position requires basic computer skills. The ability to use shop equipment (saws, mills, lathes etc.) to fabricate or modify simple machine parts preferred.  Other qualifications include:


  • Ability to perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Ability to read and research mechanical and electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming experience preferred.
  • Machine installation, leveling and alignment.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Effective communications skills are required.
  • Personal Computer (PC) skills.
  • Welding experience a plus.
  • Experience using calipers, indicators, micrometers and multimeter.
