    ACCO Brands is seeking a Sr. Manager, Brand Experience in the Kettering, Ohio office. This role is responsible for influencing and executing the strategic vision for Brand Experience (BX). Delivers a brand strategy and positioning plan for all brands within the ACCO U.S. brand portfolio so that each brand can be articulated and leveraged to enable growth for ACCO U.S.

     

    The role is one of influence and collaboration, so it’s important that this person form strong relationships with their Brand Marketing and Product teams, Digital Marketing and Content teams, and the Brand/Advertising Agency of Record.

     

    This role will deliver brand standards that will be activated to our direct and indirect product marketing, content and graphic design teams.

     

    As the champion of brand experience, this role will have visibility to and influence over the ACCO content, social media, and communication plans to ensure that the brand positioning and strategy is not being compromised in any way. This role is a key contributor to ensuring we meet ACCO’s vision to deliver on growth.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Span of control/influence covers brand positioning spectrum and agency management; including:
      • Branding: strategy, positioning, guidelines
      • Overall value proposition messaging
      • Act as the key choreographer in a collaborative team approach to ensure brand cohesion across disciplines
      • Agency relationships & contract negotiations; Agency of Record (AOR) coordination/supervision, including the communication of the contract guidelines with ACCO product and digital marketing teams
    • Ensure packaging, communications, and content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
    • Help reshape our long-term brand strategy for ACCO Brands with linking our brands with any appropriate alliances, influencers, or sponsorships
    • Ensure consistency across BX environments by creating standards for brand experiences and establishing best practices that elevate the brand
    • Provide on-going education to Brand Marketing and other internal functions so that the enterprise can keep up with the pace of change in marketing and with the use of branded destinations within our categories
    • Consult with product teams, work with the Media and Partnerships team, as well as the Insights team to ensure the strategic approach/execution aligns with brand purpose

    Position Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Communications is preferred. Advance Degree, such as MBA in Marketing or Integration is a plus.
    • A minimum of 10-15+ years of experience as a respected leader in marketing, brand management and agency relations
    • Must possess thorough knowledge of marketing principles, and a proven track record across brand/product management by successfully developing and managing a portfolio of brands that created value and growth opportunities for the company.
    • Must have experience and knowledge of consumer research and insights and how that is integrated and used as a foundational approach to brand positioning.
    • Strong proficiency with MS-Office software including presentation software (i.e. PowerPoint).
    • Proven communication skills, both internally and externally to clearly articulate our brands’ meaning and the importance of brand adherence and guidelines across the U.S. organization.

    • evaluate, analyze, and summarize data and facts with insight and brevity; establish logical connections; form sound decisions based on analysis
