    ACCO Brands is seeking an Associate Product Manager for our dated goods product lines consisting of Mead®, Cambridge®, Day-Timer® and AT-A-GLANCE® brands in our Kettering, OH office. This position offers an individual a great opportunity in classic product management with an important product segment and Brand within ACCO Brands.  


    The Associate Product Manager executes plans/programs for assigned products within our dated goods business. This position also assists in the management of the new and/or existing product line through the complete product life cycle of development to retail placement. This position requires experience and exposure to sales, product development, brand, and consumer market to understand the product lines as well as training in planning and market research techniques.  


    Responsibilities will include:

    • Acts as key Marketing liaison to our Direct to Consumer on-line business as well as our key customers in our retail and commercial channels providing direction on new product introductions, product changes, images, copy, mix, merchandising, promotions, and pricing.
    • Assists in the execution of annual marketing plans for assigned products/brands, including go-to-market plans, new product development, pricing strategies, and sales plans
    • Works closely with cross functional teams such as: sales, purchasing, creative and manufacturing functions on design and product specifications
    • Works with market research manager to execute research plans.
    • Assist in the development and participation in presentations along with sales to key customers  
    • Participates in the development of the customer mix, merchandising, POG logic and POP communication in the retail, catalog, and on-line channels
    • Ensure on-time delivery of products and inventory management working closely with Supply Chain Management and Sales teams
    • Participates in annual pricing exercise to ensure alignment with overall consumer products group strategy
    • Execute sales support collateral development – including samples, catalogs,  websites

    Position Qualifications

    • BS/BA is required, preferably in Business Administration or Marketing or related
    • Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience is required, preferably product management experience
    • Strong written, interpersonal and presentation skills
    • Experience in working with cross functional teams
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
    • Project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline driven environment
    • Experience with retail market preferred
    • Experience with consumer packaged goods preferred
    • Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
    • Travel: Approximately 10-15%
