    ACCO Brands is seeking an Associate Channel Marketing Manager at our Lake Zurich, IL office to support ACCO’s entry into the wellness category, with an exciting new brand and product launch.  

     

    This position is mainly focused on commercialization of the new product line in North America and winning new businesses working together with our sales partners.  It is a strategic and tactical role that will be directly responsible for launching this brand on ACCO’s Direct Platform (D2C), 3rd party marketplaces (Amazon, Jet, Walmart etc.) and many more. The role reports into the Senior Director and will work closely with a tight knit team, including our digital, product and marketing managers.  The role is very entrepreneurial and the ideal candidate should have a “can do” attitude and be proactive in looking at new ways to go to market in the online and retail spaces.

     

    As one of ACCO Brands’ newest brand launches, this Associate Channel Marketing Manager will be creating marketing presentations to internal and external customers, building competitive benchmarking, and working closely with sales and channel teams to win new business. The ideal candidate must have passion, be willing to push boundaries and be nimble in an ever-changing environment.  In addition, the candidate for this position must be able to work within a cross functional environment, internally and externally, to drive results. Not only will you enjoy sharing your skills, creativity and team spirit, but you will also grow in your career as you learn from your colleagues.

     

    Key Position Responsibilities: 

    • Execute online channel strategy and deliverables for D2C and marketplaces.
    • Understand customers and cater to each customer’s needs; position new brands and products to be aligned to that customer.
    • Identify strategy and penetrate into channels by doing in-depth research on competition and channels.
    • Build relationships with the sales team to win new business, starting with online focus and then moving into the retail and dealer spaces.
    • Work with cross functional marketing departments to develop best in class digital solutions, promotional offerings, pricing positions, and overall go to market strategies.
    • Determine promotions and set calendar of promotional events by product and across customers.
    • Work with product and brand managers to provide input regarding channel advertising, promotional, and selling materials.
    • Work with Supply Chain/Logistics for ideal demand planning on marketplaces.

    Position Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree is required, preferably in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related area of study 
    • 3-5 years of experience with product and/or brand marketing
    • New product and/or brand launch experience desired, but not necessary
    • Knowledge of digital marketing tools desired, but not necessary
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills – must be comfortable presenting to senior leadership and customers
    • Strategic reasoning and critical thinking – analyze wide range of inputs, identify opportunities, develop strategy
    • Strong analytical skills and must be detail oriented and self-motivated
    • Strong project management skills
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable with ambiguity
    • Must be proficient with MS Office suite, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Ability to travel domestically approximately 15 – 25%
