  • Position Summary

    This role will have responsibility for production scheduling Booneville Paper Clip Manufacturing Plant. The ideal candidate will excel in cross functional teamwork and will be responsible for the overall planning/scheduling of finished goods, as well as the required organization/procurement of raw materials required for the efficient and timely production of products as required by customers.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Master Scheduling - Maintains and updates the master production schedule on assigned products, reviews and changes work order bill of materials as required. Properly schedules and plans work orders that assure on-time delivery as well as meets internal and external customer expectations.
    • Work Order - Prepares production work orders for shop use. Maintains and updates all work orders released to production requiring changes due to sales order changes, bill of material updates, and manufacturing deviations.
    • Production Plan - Responsible for timely execution of the manufacturing schedule. Works cooperatively with internal personnel to maximize production flexibility to meet the dynamic market environment. Pro-actively plans and implements actions to assure on-time delivery; manage lead-times to internal and external customer expectations.
    • Materials Support - Support materials management activities to assure on-time delivery, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and optimal communications. Provides timely performance feedback, corrective actions and development of material processes.
    • Purchasing - Reviews material requirements on a daily basis and places purchase orders based upon inventory levels, requirements and lead times. Reviews manual purchase orders for form and content. Follows up with orders placed to insure commitments are adhered to or for changes which may occur. Closely monitors inventory levels in accordance with prescribed guidelines. Works closely with production planners to insure material availability for production processes.
    • Supplier Maintenance Support - Supports material returns to the supplier through the Non-Conformance Process.
    • Metric Reporting - Supports and maintains all assigned metric reporting both internally and to corporate as it pertains to materials support and performance measures.
    • Project Support - Participates and supports project initiatives aimed at supporting interdepartmental goals as well as operational goals.

    Position Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in a Business related field and/or other related experience required.

    • 3+ years of hands-on production scheduling, inventory control, purchasing, or related materials management function required.
    • Knowledge of MRP processes for supporting and maintaining manufacturing operations required.
    • Proficiency using computer applications (including spreadsheets, word processing, and Windows) required.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills preferred.
    • Excellent project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time preferred.
