    ACCO Brands’ Talent team is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist who has a passion for finding talent. Based in the company’s Lake Zurich Headquarters, this role will implement innovative methods to source, evaluate, and pipeline candidates, to understand the needs of the business, and to deliver a best in class candidate experience. In this role, you will also be responsible for key recruiting projects, including social media strategies and talent acquisition metrics.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner with managers to identify needs, job specifications, and qualifications necessary to fill positions.
    • Collaborate to develop and implement recruitment marketing strategies to attract and find the best qualified candidates; be able to sell to candidates the company, the function and the role.
    • Source both passive and active candidates through online social networking and job boards, community involvement, professional networking, career fairs, local media resources, employee referrals, agency referrals and other sources as needed.
    • Assess a potential candidate’s fit within the position identified, including skills, education, and experience and also competency and company culture alignment by conducting interviews.
    • Partner with HR Business Partners and managers to further evaluate candidates after on-site interviews. Ensures candidates meet minimum job requirements.
    • Prepare, extend and negotiate competitive job offers on behalf of the organization as well as process all hiring related tasks prior to on-boarding.
    • Build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers and HR and ensure a high level of customer service.
    • Drive a best-in-class candidate experience by acting as a career coach who cultivates long term relationships and builds a sustainable candidate pipeline.
    • Keeps hiring managers informed throughout the recruitment process.
    • Provide hiring managers with guidance on human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations regarding candidate selection, interview process, and hiring decision. Also maintain integrity of all staffing process records within the applicant tracking system.
    • Manage external vendor relationships for temporary or hard to fill requisitions.
    • Continuously strive for improvement on key performance metrics such as time-to-fill and satisfaction surveys.
    • Maintains positive and cooperative communication and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
    • Facilitate first day new hire onboarding and assist with Internship program as needed.
    • Complete recruitment projects as requested.
    • Attend meetings, conferences and seminars to gain additional knowledge and effectively leverage in daily work and educate others in what was learned.
    • Mentor others in the methods of talent acquisition.

    Position Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in Recruiting (preferrably in a corporate role).
    • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools/social media as well as proactive recruiting and sourcing.
    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence others using tact and professionalism
    • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
    • Capable of handling multiple tasks, problem resolution, and prioritization, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to follow-up, communicate effectively and work with all levels within an organization.
    • Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
